Re: Legalizing marijuana
One reason I'm not upset about not getting product is doing weed after a hiatus is the best. I went to Vegas over Xmas and beforehand I took a month off from weed. Those first few days were glorious. Everything was amazing and hilarious. I had a burger and ice cream at a famous Vegas neon decorated diner call the Peppermill and it easily ranks as one of the top 20 meals of my life. Maybe top 5 if I'm being honest. I mean, I don't think the food is anything special if you're sober, but is was pure stoner food. The decor and waitress short skirts were awesome as well. They even had a full bar. It was heaven.
Afterward I went back to my room, shut my eyes, and contemplated/visualized how consciousness is the ultimate evolution of the universe and how we are all connected. It was quite beautiful.
It's hard to get to that spot if you're a daily smoker.

I didnt think delivery would be allowed, even in the West, considering all the regs and upfront identification and border issues. Apparently it is legal, but it's regulated too -file a manifestthrill wrote:, or better yet, have it delivered like in the civilized/sophisticated weed states out west.

Totally. I'm doing a dry January and trying to take a break from both booze and weed to give my body a fighting chance of getting through 2020. Hopefully things will have stabilized by Feb.Michael wrote:One reason I'm not upset about not getting product is doing weed after a hiatus is the best. If you think about it, my level of entitlement as a pot consumer, one week into legalization, is pretty funny. This thing used to be a felony and now it's legal and available and I'm still [expletive].

For the longest time I would only smoke weed at home. Maybe it's the legalization thing, but lately I've started smoking and going out in public. I had forgotten how much fun that can be.Michael wrote:One reason I'm not upset about not getting product is doing weed after a hiatus is the best. Re: Legalizing marijuana
Last summer, I had that edible experience. a couple looks at a mile of my wanderings that I recorded on my gps watch
Note - I was trying to wander around to wear it off, on the beach. I managed to turn my watch on/off - at a mile, which not sure how that was accomplished. Somewhere in there i tried to spell out "F xxx Trump" in my walk, but i'd have needed at least ten times the distance per letter to make it readable. tide was lower than that sat photo, I didn't go too far into the surf, because I was paranoid, still had at least some common sense. Same for not going over that berm of lava rock on the north to explore the next cove- I'd have been all over doing that in a normal state, but I thought it would be too scary in the higher realm.

what kind of edible was it? even with legit edible options now, i don't get anything too extreme. maybe i'm not taking as much. edibles have been a calm body high for me...whereas a classic joint really rocks my head space...which at this point i'm only doing on weekends or days off hah.

Re: Legalizing marijuana
It was a gummy. I had one, which I think was the proper dose. I wrote (too much) about this all here somewhere. Even though it is completely legal, I felt a stigma as a newb of sorts, and didn't ask questions to the clerk. Got a lot of good info out of this thread since then.Jocephus wrote:what kind of edible was it? even with legit edible options now, i don't get anything too extreme. maybe i'm not taking as much. edibles have been a calm body high for me...whereas a classic joint really rocks my head space...which at this point i'm only doing on weekends or days off hah.
ah, here it is.
212 feet of climbing for a mile?!?, nfw, not on that beach. My garmin must have been high tooFreed Roger wrote:A few weeks ago, I had a gummy (in OR) and it had me high as a kite. longer version shorter but still long version:
I don't think the gummies or edibles are for me. Joints? undecided. I can't say they've made me really high like the gummy did, which probably makes joints more viable. As I tried inhaling more to get effect, it burnt my throat. I guess the bong is the solution there, but that is too much work for me.
If you haven't noticed, my head is kind of whirling dervish already. That living inside my own head meta experience, I really don't need that accentuated.
Where and when would I get high? Outdoorsy stuff - nah. I'm chilled out enjoying myself already. I tend to get myself pretty tired and don't need another variable. There's too much I want to see and do, and would probably not get to much of it, if I were high. In the daytime, It would mess me up and I'd wander around instead of going down a trail. If I managed to launch and head down river, no telling where I'd end up.
Also, when you have kids - even older age - I don't like being out to lunch around them. I don't mind being vulnerable, but that is too much. They see me drink a beer or two, but not drunk. I think if I had small kids around, I would have very limited scenarios for getting high.
I can see how some people enjoy it, and possibly manage it better. Getting high as a muse for artistry of any sort? - I think someone would have to pretty damn good at keeping a foot in reality, channel the process to capture what they want to create, write, or sing etc (like I tried with my garmin experience) - and then look at it later and decide what is actually enlightened vs plain ole garbage. I suspect most would fall into the latter category. But then again, we know musicians have pulled it off.
We'll see., until next time.

Group is going to collect sigs to get legal rec marijuana on 11/2020 ballot in MO. .... Missouri!
I think it will happen - Get on the ballot. 150K sigs in 3 months. Jeesh, they'll get that outside a couple of [insert non-BroCo band name] concert. People with $$$ invested in this biz.
As far as whether it passes in November? That will be interesting. I
Side note -its presence on the ballot could help GOTV
