Crazy.

What is the role of the monarchy anyway, doesn't seem like they do anything other than philanthropic activities and make people talk about hat colors and [expletive].

Not to say it isn't noteworthy or sad or whtever, but I personally couldn't care less about the queens death. all the hoopla seems quite a bit unnecessary.

She could make herself relevant by strolling down to Westminster and knocking some heads regarding Brexit. Use her perogative to sit there while Parliment and the PM forge a policy. She doesn't have to take sides - just get them to [expletive] or get off the pot.

Yeah, the article refers to the UK being very different once she passes. With the desire for change running rampant throughout the world, I think the royal family can't simply sit on their laurels and expect the next 100 years to be the same as the last 100 years. Tabloid covers alone aren't going to cut it.

That was a good article. Got me to thinking about the BFFNs I've made over the years.

We’re not prepared for the end of Moore’s Law

It has fueled prosperity of the last 50 years. But the end is now in sight.

John Swartzwelder, Sage of “The Simpsons” -- The first major interview with one of the most revered comedy writers of all time.

Not quite a long read, perhaps, but a lot of stuff about the early Simpsons years and some other stuff that made me chuckle.
