Re: 'Red Dirt Country' - A new adventure
So things worked out at work and I was able to take a week and travel to Cheyanne, WY with the band for a week. The bar is pretty cool but I have to say Cheyanne is a bit of a dump. I expected way better.
I may get up early and run to Denver tomorrow. Probably will be awhile since I will be this close, like 100 miles which in Dakota terms is next door.
Fun fact, we are playing after Uncle Kracker tomorrow.

I doubt it.
It is fun though, I am spending my days looking for Dick Chaney.

Just now seeing the post about the album being on Spotify. I'm not a big country fan at all, but I really liked the first song!! Giving the whole album a listen as I work this afternoon. Kudos, Leroy!

Re: 'Red Dirt Country' - A new adventure
So when I moved to Bismarck, ND last year, the only playing opportunity was with a young singer/songwriter just getting started. We started and stopped several times, gained new players, lost some and by this spring we were doing pretty good. Well, at this point more people left so we are starting over.
But the singer went to Nashville, took some of her songs and worked with some studio musicians there. Her first effort, 'Without You' by Savanah Benz is now on Spotify and probably everywhere else. It is worth a listen. She is now 17, and in my opinion, quite talented.

Umm, no, I'm the ugly spud on the left.
If I could put an x through them players no longer with us or photoshop them out, it would leave just me and her.
