Same here this past Tuesday. Less soreness than my last flu shot, which are always kind of random in that department anyway.

Re: Coronavirus
Sorry to hear this and hope you feel better soon. Every now and then I still feel a cough coming on but that's about it. (Knock on wood) but it seems like I'm one of the lucky ones who got over it.IMADreamer wrote: ↑March 16 21, 10:14 pmI know I've talked about this before but I'm still having symptoms now three months after testing positive. It's strange I will have days were I feel great, and days were I feel awful. Today was a rough day. I ended up calling the doctor and he wanted me to come in. Fever was up to about 101, cough was terrible. I got an xray and I have pneumonia now. My chest hurts like hell. I just thought it was the coughing that was doing it but I guess not. What's strange is I felt great yesterday. My doctor is setting up an appointment with a cardiologist because he wants to see what shape my heart is in. Fatigue has been a huge issue and now I'm out of breath a lot. We are concerned there may be lung or heart damage.
I can't stress this enough, please continue masking up, using good hygiene, and social distancing. You do not want this. I see so many people relaxing a bit now, and I know we are all fatigued from this last year but covid is no joke. I'm a week or so away from planting season and if I have more days like today I don't know how I can do it. It's scary.

Re: Coronavirus
I lol'd.
Quick update. Mrs. AW still has a little cough, no taste/smell, and a fever holding steady around 100.
Me and the kids have nothing. I started to feel like [expletive] Thursday night but that passed quickly after eating. Hopefully the vaccine has given me enough protection already to not get sick. I haven't been tested becasue, aside from those fleeting moments Thursday night, I've not felt anything less than 100%. And, I'm in quarantine already, not like I'm exposing anyone. I will get tested next Sunday most likely in order to go back to work.

Re: Coronavirus
This confirms what my general doctor told me recently. Get the vaccine as soon as you can, because it helps prevent death and serious (hospitalization-level) symptoms.
Minnesota reports 89 COVID-19 cases in vaccinated individuals
Minnesota has identified 89 "breakthrough" cases of COVID-19 in which people contracted the infectious disease after being fully vaccinated. None of these cases are among Minnesota's 6,798 COVID-19 deaths, including nine deaths reported Wednesday, and doctors said even those that were hospitalized had milder illness.
While he didn't have trend data yet, Dr. Andrew Olson said, "It's more than an anecdotal observation at this point" that the breakthrough cases treated at M Health Fairview hospitals in the Twin Cities area have had better outcomes.
State infectious disease director Kris Ehresmann said the fraction of fully vaccinated people who contracted breakthrough infections was expected, even with clinical trials suggesting the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were 95% effective. "We should not be fooled into seeing such a case as a reason to doubt the vaccine effectiveness," she said. "Remember, a 95% effective vaccine still means we could expect to see infections in around five of every 100 people who get the vaccine."
State health officials interviewed 72 of the 89 patients and found that 30 had symptomatic COVID-19.

Re: Coronavirus
I woke up this morning with aches all over including a bad headache. Took Tylenol and went back to bed. Woke up again at noon feeling somewhat better. By tonight I'm down to a dull headache.

Re: Coronavirus
I could make an entire thread on my weird 24 hour excursion to the pit of hell that is Rantoul, IL but I had one particular incident related to coronavirus that was interesting. The wife and I rolled into our hotel last night about 8pm. Rantoul, IL in general seems like a mask optional place, but our hotel in particular was bad. The lady behind the counter, my wife, and I were the only people with them on. We check in and head to the elevator. There is a 65-70 year old lady in front of us. The door opens and she turns, of course without a mask on, and yells "STAY BACK! I DON'T WANT TO GET THE VIRUS, IT'S FOR MY SAFETY." I'm kind of dumbfounded and stop. As the door closes I tell "put a mask on you stupid [expletive]."
yeah that was wrong of me, but the whole evening was [expletive] weird as [expletive] and I was definitely not dealing with no mask Karen. Anyway, my wife and I laughed our ass off at just how crazy it was.
