So we got our first round of Moderna yesterday. Aside from the intense pain in my shoulder (and I'm a diabetic, so I'm not a wuss for shots), the nausea I'm experiencing this morning and the thumb growing out from my forehead all of a sudden, it seems good.

Thanks Dr. Gneen.
My wife got Moderna and had pretty strong reactions to both doses in terms of nausea, fatigue, and headaches. Knocked her out of commission for about a day each time, but then went away. Good excuse for a day on the couch!
That's me exactly. Probably getting even for when I actually had it and had zero symptoms. My wife who was fairly ill before...nothing.

My youngest sibling is now fully vaccinated. So we're all bulletproof.

My son returns from Taiwan on the 19th. I don't know if he'll have access to a vaccine there before he travels.

Did your son's travel go as planned, Sigh?

Yes, thanks. He made it back safely, tested negative after quarantining for a week, got his first vaccine shot a few weeks ago, and will get his second dose this coming Friday. He's doing fine.

I literally cannot understand the people not getting vaccinated. I suppose that's a different thread. 1300 people are dying a day in the US, and most of them, totally unnecessarily.

I agree. We should have doctors use the proper treatments instead of telling people that an experimental vaccine is the only option. I literally cannot understand how so many smart people do not understand this.

Your definition of 'experimental'? Millions upon millions of us have gotten these vaccines. The percentage of complications is a known quantity. Well within acceptable bounds. What would move these vaccines from 'experimental' to 'understood' in your opinion?
