I'm big on usage trumping dictionaries or "correct" grammar, but "all the sudden" makes no sense and just bugs me.
Okay, if we’re getting into phrases now…if I have to hear “could care less” one more time 🤬

Overtired.

I see no reason for this word. Just say "exhausted".

What is a sudden and how do you group them together into an "all"? Is it already plural like deer?
My guess is comes from mishearing or slurring of "all of a sudden" as allvuhsudden, and coming out with "all the sudden"

The same reason "could have, would have, should have" became "could of, would of, should of."

Anyone who has watched the most recent season of Stranger Things with closed captioning on will know what I'm about to say.

squelching.

specifically: wet squelching.

Maintenance.

Because for some reason I always misspell it 5 times before getting it right.

I have had to type that word roughly 500 times on emails throughout my career and still look it up occasionally. It is truly an awful word.

This is more of a phrase, but I just saw a Yahoo article about the NFL QB injury saying Harbough is "feeling some type of way" about the injury.

It is such a dumb sounding Tik Tok new age bull [expletive] phrase.
