I did a fun thing today

Post by Smith Corks One »

Can't give specifics due to an NDA, but I was a juror for a "mock trial" put on by a consulting firm. $300 to listen to both sides of a tort case and deliberate with other "jurors" for a couple hours. Would definitely do it again!

That does sound fun. I would love to do that.

Nobody got my Lee J. Cobb joke. I was disappoint.

Should have immediately called for a hung jury due to the lack of culture in the room.

Side note did you know they made a 12 Angry Men where Jack Lemmon was Henry Fonda and George C. Scott was Lee Cobb? I didn't until pretty recently.

Yes! I probably watched it 3-4 times when it was first on HBO or whatever channel. I love it ALMOST as much as the original. What a cast! Those two, plus Edward James Olmos, Mykelti Williamson (I think), Tony Danza...more I can't remember.

Both movies are loaded with big talent. I prefer the original but I think the remake is pretty good.

You should have stated that you do not believe in the constitution of the United States and called for jury nullification.

While that would have been amazing, we didn’t get paid until the very end. Worth it? Maybe, until I got home and my wife killed me dead for not bringing home the cash.
