This is tax deductible, yes? Leroy? Please confirm. NM I'm just going to do it.

There are 50 members of this site with more than 10,000 posts.

2 of them are Michael & Kyle.

There are 6 current donors.

This means that there are still 42 chuckle heads out there who love this site but not enough to chip in the cost of 1 coffee a month for all this communal enjoyment.

I am one of the donors, and I'm not at 10K posts yet.

You're an OG! How do you have under 10K? You must just pick your spots well.

If the 10k poster is dead, should we hound their estate until they cough up the dough? Asking for a dead friend.

I'm at ~8,500 posts. Quality over quantity is where it's at.

Also, I don't want anyone to feel pressured to contribute. It's part of why we want to avoid having any decorations on the forum for those who do join Patreon.

What has made GRB great in the past and why we have so many posters who have been coming here for 10+ years is the environment. It's a low stress place where posters can focus on enjoying baseball discussion without being overly commercialized, bombarded by trolls, or being pressured to post in any way.

I'm probably pushing the boundaries of some of those by adding this Patreon and contemplating ads in some capacity, but I still want what has made GRB great to be the core of what it continues to be going forward.

Once someone feels guilty for not spending money on this site, then we've started to erode one of the parts of the forum that's made it a fun community.

is there a way to make a single donation instead of a recurring?
This is the route I want to go. one-time donations. I think you get more donors this way. Like once a year bump the fund drive.
