Same here. Heck, I'd be willing to pay for a month once a year. Let us know if that is an option before I sign up please.Freed Roger wrote: ↑March 2 20, 4:09 pmFreed Roger wrote: ↑March 2 20, 4:09 pmThis is the route I want to go. one-time donations. Re: Funding GRB
I have a paypal account that the mods are using to send their monthly portion of the hosting. But posting a PayPal or something similar has a vibe more along the lines "Hey, Give me Money." and less "Support this community" like Patreon did.
They're probably the same thing and i'm overthinking it, but that's why I chose Patreon.

Yeah, go with what works best for you. I will do a 1time donation, and then cancel next month.

Re: Funding GRB
Sorry, just noticed these threads.
I spend most of my days on a comedy forum, and their tactic is having monthly subscriptions. Two levels - gold and silver - and for gold you get custom member title and a few other bits and bobs, silver you get just a few bells and whistles. I'm sure a few people would be prepared to pay $5 a month or whatever for those things. (sorry if this has already been brought up)

If, indeed, we are patrons, I will hold out for a Masters Tournament pimento cheese sandwich. Get 'er done, mods!stlouie_lipp wrote: ↑March 9 20, 5:06 pmI am now a patron of Gatewayredbirds.com. Do I get a tee shirt?

Re: Funding GRB
Thank you everyone who contributed to funding the site in 2020. I just crunched the numbers for tax season and our Patreon contributed 33% of the cost of hosting GRB. That's a significant number when it comes to making the site affordable for us mods.
You're all critical to helping GRB keep the lights on and we're all extremely grateful for your help. Thanks again!
