Stay the course, the surge is not fully implemented...

A (team) President's evaluation

...We cannot fully evaluate the current state of the team til September.

Yes, the current report card so far is mixed (although the team has met a number of benchmarks: attendance,..payroll, among others) we believe a healthy Carpenter and Mulder will inevitably lead for a win for our side (medical reports aside). I urge you the fans to exhibit some patience.

Some call for a change of strategy.

Yes a trade now may improve the situation for the coming years, and satisfy the beat writers, but it would also give comfort to our enemies. Admit defeat, nay even surrender!?? Our players are playing hard, we have to support them. You want to tell little Aaron Miles he's not doing his job? (Aaron Miles should be the poster child for this team, a true American) This populist defeatist attitude not only belittles the players, but also allows the Brewers, Cubs, and Astros of the world to get an advantage (a foothold if you will) .If we drop out now, it would admit the off-season signings of our enemies were productive. I fully believe we should activate Carp and Mulder now (promised recuperation time be damned, it's not like they didn't voluntarily sign up for this mission).

It's too early to throw in the towel, we need to wait to September, see what the managers say and re-evaluate.

If the manager does not agree with my (our) position I will have to replace him with someone I agree with. Because everything I do is in compliance with the managers on the field. Who knows the game better than the manager on the field?

We go to war with the team we have.

To change ideaologies mid-stream would be akin to admitting misjudgements or even mistakes.

I'm still confident we'll win. ..absolutely.

But we will re-evaluate in September (or next January by the latest).
