I remember getting one of those heavy wet snows the first week of May back in the day. The same time I was walking uphill both ways to school.
Stop your whining and get off my lawn.

I just realized how much I miss the commercials for Zamfir and his pan flute.

Say you lived on one side of a hill with your school on the other, with the hill being too large in diameter to walk around, so the only way to/from school is up and over. Surely someone, somewhere, can honestly say they walked to school uphill both ways . . .

Traditionally they don't locate schools in hard to reach places like on top of large hills, far away from residential areas.

I apologize for the dismissive tone above. I determined the scenario needed further proof of concept and took the liberty of gaming out a scenario.

What Joe and his schoolmates would do in dickety-six, is all run as fast as they could to one side of the school and ride the school down the hill. Preferably to the west so as not to crush the Shlabotnik house which was made of old jalopy chassis and onion sacks. Then they'd rebuild the school as laboriously as possible, for the sole purpose of relating their childhood struggles gravely to their great grandchildren and making them feel bad when they're playing Nintendo and listening to hip hop and eating Cheetos and never saying thank you.
