Rant - Murder - Domestic Abuse

Post by InvincibleCakeEater »

A woman who worked for me recently was murdered by a guy I worked with 4-5 years ago.

They got into it a few nights ago and he beat her to death. The end.

The people bending over backwards trying to justify it because she was "crazy" and/or "he's not like that" is [expletive] sickening.

Yep.

Worked with the guy for ~2 years (4-5 years ago) and she worked for me for 6-8 months (until July). She was tight with my GF and was here at the house a month or so ago, talking about how bad it was. We offered her to stay here, but she insisted she was fine.

It's disgusting how people are trying to slander her. Like her being murdered is OK.

My facebook feed is full of "he never meant to do that" bull [expletive]. He beat her numerous [expletive] times for [expletive] sake. I just, I don't even know how to deal with this. I feel like I could have helped. I didn't know it was that bad even when I offered her a room here.

That sucks. I had a friend in Vegas murdered in a similar situation and I always wondered if I should have done more to help. I was like tenth on the list of people who could've stepped up, but it still bothers me. I saw her when she had been beat up and a week later she was dead.

The guy ultimately got 8 years on voluntary manslaughter, which is total BS. One of the perks of being a retired FBI agent. Reading this again makes my blood boil:

What a piece of trash and shame on the people backing him. He beat her and killed her. There is no justifying that.

That reminds me of an ex-GF I had when I was in college. We stayed in touch somewhat after we split up, and she ended up getting married to a guy in the Navy and moving to Virginia Beach. She was stabbed to death in her apartment while he was out at sea on maneuvers. The guy they convicted was someone in their building that was ex-Navy but not quite right in the head - who they vaguely knew.

The police suspected that because she kinda knew the guy, that she just opened the door and let him in.

Crazy [expletive] world we live in.
