My wife, the pharmacist, has people all the time drink the stuff a week or so prior to the scope not realizing you are supposed to do it a day before.

Colon cancer ain’t no joke.
I know. And neither is dying. But I'll take the later instead of being a toy for the medical-industrial complex.

I've accomplished the prime directive and my kids are OK. I've got a hard-earned nest egg that will, if I have anything to say about it, go to them and theirs when I'm gone. I've got nothing else to accomplish and I'm just playing out the string at this point. If I get cancer, just take me 'round back and put me down. F the corporate medical [expletive]. Simple as that.
I am sure you have your reasons, but that seems a bit selfish. Your family may want more time with their father. I never met a grandfather. Died when I was 5 months old. He was in his 40s. Cholangiocarcinoma.

He was a chemist, preacher (preached for free, wouldn't take a dime) and my father calls him the kindest and greatest man he ever met. Crazy thing was he was my mother's father.

I'd give anything to share a meal with him.

The actual procedure is much better. They gave me some pretty awesome dope.
The go-lightly stuff was nauseating to me and it got worse and worse the more you drank of it. This stuff got dissolved in Gatorade.

After 3 or 4 times you get used to it.

I finally did it last year. Glad I did it, though, and the procedure was nothing. Plus, I don't have to go back for several years!

Add waiting room loud cell phone talkers to this rant. We don’t care about your trip to the Botanical Garden or shop that’s moving to a new location.

I have to go have a prostate exam in a few weeks. My PSA number was a little high.

Fun, fun, fun.
