This year for the first time in my life I am starting to feel age getting to me. 15 years of not really working out and eating what I want has caught up with me. My back hurts, my knees hurt, I injur easer than I used to and it takes days to recover from nights out. It sucks, and I always knew it would catch up with me, but I think I really have to get serious about getting into shape. I've been good about walking, and obviously farming keeps me in some form of "shape" but the last few months in particular have been rough. I find myself making noise when I get up out of a chair or bed.
Anyone else have this problem? My Dad said he felt it right at 40, which is pretty much where I'm at.

Yeah I have that problem for 20 years now.
Welcome to the working week Dreamer.
But I pride myself in being able to umpire 6-8 hours on my feet for two days on a weekend and still be able to walk and think straight. Yeah, things hurt. Ibuprofen is my friend. You learn to live with it.
I won't go into the sex thing though. Don't want to depress you too much.

My knee has been killing me the last 10 months or so to the point I was having trouble playing baskeball. Then, it started hurting when I ran, then playing golf, now just walking. Physical therapists seem to think its a structural issue which they can't really address. Orthopedists don't think its bad enough to do anything but recommend not running which would bring on an entire set of issues. I've got a schedule to see a DO in a month or so that does PRP injections so hopefully he has an idea of some sort. But, yeah, getting old sucks.

Clutches stomach while grimacing and nodding along, 6 hours into an IBS flare up at age 35.

The best part of getting older is when you wake up and something hurts that wasn't hurting when you went to bed.

I don't know what you geezers are talking about. I feel the same as I did when I was 25.
Of course that's the year I spent nine months on crutches.
