Adam Wainwright is flying back to St. Louis to be evaluated by team doctors. GM John Mozeliak is "not encouraged." Pain in elbow.

When asked if he felt the injury to Wainwright was significant, Mozeliak replied. "I do." ....Doesn't sound good at all.

Yeah. Basically, torn ligament..don't worry about it though. They obviously should have worried about it.

His mechanics have been questioned before, it's not like people weren't expecting this at some point before his contract was up. Would have been nice if it had happened when he had a little bit stronger rotation behind him.

I guess Carp/Garcia/Westbrook/Lohse/omg-wtf-lol could pick up the slack and the Cards could still contend, but it's way more likely, imo, that Carp/Garcia/Westbrook aren't as good as they were last year.

We're going to need a lot of chemistry to make it through the season.
