I'm sure the subtlety of boxing can be difficult to translate to the big or the small screen, but it's inexcusable that still to this day nobody thinks they can convey who is winning or losing a match in a realistic way. The hero stands with his hands at his waist and a stupid look on his face, and absorbs a hundred straight punches to his face until it's time for the comeback, whereupon the villain stands with his hands at his waist and a stupid look on his face as the hero rains punches upon it.

I don't give a [expletive] if it's better than Raging Bull once the show steps out of the ring, I can't keep watching through that idiocy.
I like Lights Out, but agree filming actors boxing hasn't been done well, ever.
It's because most people don't understand what the Sweet Science should look like.

Am I crazy for thinking that Karl Pilkington looks like Chris Carpenter?

Re-watching the Breaking Bad episode where
[SHOW]
Walt confronts Ted Beneke. Jesus, Skyler gets on my nerves, but what a [expletive] hand Walt deals her time after time. Not only did she kick a cancer victim out of the house, and her son hates her, but now he's completely ruined her office life. The beauty of the show to me is how most of the time you're seeing things from Walt or Jesse's perspective, and you've built up all this sympathy toward them. Then they pull the rug out from under you once in a while when you get to see how what they do affects everyone else. This is also the episode where Jesse tries to sell the convenience store clerk on meth when she's only done pot before. Only part way through it, but I'm pretty sure this is also the one where they completely send Hank over the edge.
And it's been complimented before here, but Bob Odenkirk's work on this show deserves an Emmy or some kind of concrete recognition. Probably my favorite supporting character on television. I don't know how, but he just does keep from going over the top, and gets the right balance of cleverness, humor, and sleaziness.

Last night I realized I'm more interested these days in the Emmys than the Oscars, and shows like this are why.

Breaking Bad Season 4 Delayed

July 2011 seems a long way away, doesn't it? It sounds almost… futuristic.

Unfortunately, that futuristic date will be the premiere of Breaking Bad's fourth season, which has been pushed back four months from its original March start date, according to Deadline TV.

++

The old lady who grows pot with her sons but gets pissy if someone sells pills or meth is a great character.
