Really excited.
Did you enjoy your waxing in Denver? Don't worry about your home opener though, Toronto will be more than accommodating for you guys next weekend. Frankencooper will kill their back line.

So this weekend was the best weekend for American forwards I can remember.

Clint Dempsey sets the record for goals by an American in a single EPL season: http://rutube.ru/tracks/4231002.html?v= ... start=1000

Charlie Davies with the brace: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... eARpA-tkmE

Juan Agudelo going into beast mode v Seattle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0tzCHu1djI

In [expletive] terrible news, breakout US star midfielder, Stu Holden gets absolutely brutalized by a dirty tackle against Manchester United on Saturday and will be out 6 months: http://www.noshortcorners.com/2011/03/a ... video.html
Mother [expletive] cut his acl with his cleats. Stuart will be sorely missed, especially against Mexico, in this summer's Gold Cup. It's been almost exactly a year since Nigel DeJong broke his leg in a dirty tackle vs Holland. His luck is [expletive].

What is Fergie doing on the phone right there?

In answer to your question, no not very much. The Timbers looked slow and the defense looked stupid in Denver. We really need some help back there, and the deal for Gilbert from Arsenal broke down. At least we didn't get shut out and the Army was impressive. Home opener is against Chicago, are they any good? Looks like they are ranked by most people just a spot or two ahead of Portland (of course Portland hasn't been easily ranked so far).

Watched the US vs. Argentina today. DVR'ed it on Saturday. Was impressed with Chandler and Agudelo. Howard is amazing. What's great is that Agudelo, Altidore, Chandler, etc. have 3 years to develop and play with Dempsey, Bradley and Donovan. Sky's the limit right now.

Agudelo needs to keep it up. This teams needs someone besides their wide Mids(Donovan and Dempsey) to score. Altidore- he's nothing but disappointing.

No clue! He's got to have confidence, I mean he always starts. He's physically strong and fast. Strikers are there to score, and he can't.

And he has no soccer sense whatsoever. He can physically do just about anything other than feather his first touch, but he has more than enough tools to dominate. Juan Agudelo is incredibly exciting as a prospect because of not only his considerable physical gifts but because he reads the game like a much more experienced player. He knows when to lay back, where to make his runs, when to hold the ball up, when to take people on etc. Jozy has one gear, which is to try to turn or run straight past the defenders. Harkes called him on it in the broadcast when he tried to take on 4 guys instead of laying it back for Landon. Unbelievably stupid move. I can understand why he gets no burn in Europe. Those coaches must be appalled by his game IQ.

I agree about Altidore, but I really want to chalk it up to youth. He can make the great pass every now and then, but basically his instincts are awful.

It was really frustrating to watch how Argentina worked the ball around so well and took smart runs. When Jozy gets it he usually just runs straight into a defender.
