Well it's a remake of a critically acclaimed Danish series (which explains lots of actors and producers with multiple a's in their name) so it has a great model to follow to not suck.Cole Burns wrote: Very excited about this one, hoping it doesn't go down the tubes.

Another good episode of The Killing tonight. Has a little bit of a Harper's Island feel to it (Pacific Northwest, and a couple of overlapping cast members).

Human Planet is excellent. I just wish they'd do an American:
"On weekends Brandon wakes at 10:30. It's a groggy trip to his computer to check his email, but a trip he makes every morning. On this morning he discovers he has run out of coffee. It means he'll have to walk to Plaid Pantry. Dangers, such as tweakers asking for change, await him, but he knows that if he can make it successfully, a greasy breakfast awaits him. Brandon has to wait over 35 seconds for a traffic light to change, always a frustration. His patience, however, comes from his knowledge that coffee, scratch its and a Maxim magazine will be his reward."

Lemme know what you guys thought of it! I just cancelled my HBO, so I'll have to torrent it if I want to watch. I'd love to hear people talking about the plot/characters/etc, from a viewpoint of someone who doesn't know every minute detail about everyone.

I have read Game of Thrones, but it was 3 years ago and I'm pretty fuzzy on some of the details. I enjoyed the show, thought they got the major plot points right, and made good casting decisions. I watched it with a group of people, some of whom hadn't read any of the books, and some of whom that know every minute detail. It went over well with everybody who didn't get too anal retentive about details. The only real problem with it that I could see was the tone in a scene between Khal Drogo and Daenarys. You'll know which one when you see it.Maclowery wrote:Lemme know what you guys thought of it! I just cancelled my HBO, so I'll have to torrent it if I want to watch. lots of doggystyle. I was surprised by that last scene. There was a weird green screen shot when the King showed up with the kid on the roof that looked really cheap. I was mostly able to follow what was going on which can be a real problem with this kind of show but

OK, so the first episode was just alright, but the second episode of Workaholics was pretty damn funny.
Also, Perfect Couples has its moments.
