- Bennet isn't the killer. He and Muhammad were helping a young girl escape from her family for her health and safety. And Mitch Larsen gives me yet another reason to hate her. Only problem now is they've basically got three or four episodes to reveal a killer, unless they're going to hold that for a second season, which I hope they don't.
I want to like the show, I really do, but it's been obvious since the get go that Bennet wasn't the killer. It's taken 6 episodes to finally confirm that? Meanwhile nothing in the plot has even hinted at who the real one might be. Every major plot development so far has been telegraphed 3 or 4 episodes ahead of time. What's up with the whole lady cop fiance supblot? That's gone nowhere. Every time her phone rings I'm worried it's going to be her fiance and we're going to have to revive that again. And Darren the boy scout mayoral candidate, who gives a crap? I want him to lose now. The scene with the jukebox and whiskey and memory lane about his dead wife was has hackneyed as it gets. Can one guy even donate $5 million? Originally he had to beg for $50,000 and now he's playing horse for $5 million? Come on. I stopped caring about every single character 3 episodes ago. I hope the title, The Killing, now becomes about Stan and putting him in prison, which he deserves.
I'm not trying to be a pure hater, but the show has gone absolutely nowhere, slowly. It continues to belabor uninteresting character development while building zero intrigue in the murder case.
