Wilfred.

Anyone else see the first episode? I had made up my mind that I was going to hate it because FX has been showing commercials for the better part of a year. It's actually about as funny as anything I've seen on tv for awhile.

It looked really cool to me until the previews showed the dog actually talking. For some reason a humanoid, non-talking dog is hilarious to me but a humanoid, talking dog is just not my cup of tea.

Yeah, but he's a foul mouthed talking humanoid dog.

James Spader, who really stole the show in the season finale, is in talks to join The Office next year.

Better yet, they're looking to move him quickly up the corporate ladder to replace Kathy Bates. He was hilarious and watching Jim and Dwight to figure him out struck me as the making of a fantastic dynamic to replace the office's exasperation with Michael, but one that couldn't really last for several seasons. Having him drop in from corporate now and then to shake things up could be absolutely hilarious.

Just finished the season finale the other night (from DVR - waited while I went back and watched the first season on DVD). I loved the ending, plenty of cliffhangers. I hope Gary never comes back. I really wanted Dewey to die, and he was the only Bennett that didn't. I'm going to love his character next season. I'm sure Boyd will be out for blood.

Speaking of Boyd, I'm really liking the transformation from son of a criminal, to religious leader, to walking the straight-and-narrow, to back being a criminal. Very intriguing.

I really liked the first episode, but I think this may be an only 1-2 season kind of thing. Seems like they'd run out of stuff to do with the humanized dog theme relatively quickly.

ya, it only lasted 2 seasons in australia (i think it was?)...same guy (dog) in that one too.....it seems like you'd run out of material with the premise....it is pretty funny though, i must admit.

Just finished season 2 of Sons of Anarchy. Would fans of the show recommend I watch season 3? Season 2, while entertaining, was just a bunch of increasingly ridiculous running around and shooting at stuff that caused me to progressively care less and less about all the characters and make the fictional world they inhabit seem more and more cartoonish.

TGantz wrote:Not to ruin it for you, but Sons of Anarchy's second season is like GTA: The Biker version. The first season is amazing though.
