Any good? Worth checking out?
I enjoyed the pilot.

I've watched. last night, I just caught the newest episode. It was better than the first 2.
Still, some idiotic scenes. But I'll watch. I dig the aliens and mind control thing. When will we find out what the Aliens are doing here, and why they use the kids as slave labor?
I've seen the pilot so far, and really enjoyed it. I like the premise, and the production values are really good. But yes, at times it gets a little dumb:

Bad Guy 1: Does it hurt bad or wicked bad?
Bad Guy 2: Wicked bad, bro!

There is definitely a lot of open space in my tv schedule right now, so Falling Skies is going to get a good chance.
It's kinda slow at times, but it has promise.

Agreed on the idiotic scenes, but yea it'll make for good filler i think.

The bad guy on Falling Skies kind of feels like he's written by high schoolers or soccer moms or something.

And about the bad guy:
[SHOW]
They made him too hard initially. I'm going to have trouble forgetting that he was the racist leader of a band of rapists when he no doubtedly becomes the hardcore edgy badman with the 'unexpected' heart of gold.

This is an issue they could address/resolve with just a few lines, however.

A couple gripes with it. Why would children be the slaves? They're the least helpful. The lines are absolutely awful most of the time. Why was there a 13 year old kid even there to mess up in a small group recon mission? Why did they reassure him that he's a good soldier when we've seen no proof of that? You can cut a knife through the sexual tension with ER dude and hot kinda ethnic chick. Why don't the bang already?

Yeah, don't get the kids as slaves, but Spielberg has to play it up as a family show.
The dad just running into a pack of aliens cause he saw his kid, real tactical.
The redneck gang leader suddenly a chef for the entire army?
Hundreds of peeps just chilling day and night in a school w/in sight of the alien monstrosity?
Where do they get all the gas from? And Ammo? And Food?

Yeah, but I still kind of like it.

There are a lot of things to question and dislike about the show. But I still kind of like it to.

It's entertaining, but the plot is weak. I'll definitely still watch it, but I don't get my hopes up about TV shows anymore. Usually they drag it out too long, or they get canceled before they get resolved. Not worth getting invested in anymore. Netflix FTW.

There hasn't been a lot of talk here, but Season 2 of Treme was really good. The finale is this Sunday. When season 1 ended, I was on board but I didn't miss it. After this Sunday, I'm going to miss it.

Last episode of Louie was [expletive] outstanding.

So amazingly awkward.
Louie is the best.
It ended, and I was like what was that. One of the most unique TV episodes ever.
I guess most of Louie episodes are like that.
