The beast mode thing gets old fast, but as a parent of small children who love Monsters Inc, I also find the beast mode thing a little endearing. They are real people who have kids and incorporated something fun they do with their kids into their work. Good for them.

I don't have the foggiest idea what this beast thing/Monsters Inc thing is.

They've been the punchline for the bulk of the existence of the NL Central. The Cardinals have been the kings of the division. When one team in the division consistently hands an ass kicking to the divisional weakling for more than a decade, those fans are going to take extra pleasure in beating that bully when they finally get the chance. And they have had that chance, intermittently, since 2008 or so.
It's ok, JL21. I completely agree. I think your assessment is pretty accurate. The Cardinals have won it all several times. Milwaukee hasn't won a World Series since the Braves were still here.

The Brewers have been the doormats of baseball for quite a while. We're better now, but still not where we need to be to win a World Series, imo. Too many guys that just aren't clutch, and a defense that's not dependable.

As such, they have football fan mentalities.
Since I'm married to a Cheesehead, I can vouch for this. She claims to be a Brewers fan too, but we have 8,437 Packers shirts to only 2 Brewers shirts so the numbers speak for themselves.
