It's horrible, but there are some quality naked ladies.

I keep watching.
There's been some good stuff this season, but then, bad.
A complete throw away episode this week.

If you're going to bring back Trinity's son, do it bigger and better. It was a waste.
Plus the son knows Dexter, Dex confessed to killing his dad, Dex knows he killed his mom, and then leaves him alive!? Just a bad move all around.

I think leaving Jonah alive keeps with the arc of this season. He's been more "careless" in several spots, the most obvious of which was strangling Nick on the beach. That, Brian in his ear to ignore the code, and the correlation he can make to his own son all make for a reasonable decision to have sympathy. Plus, if they're going to do it "bigger and better" with Jonah, they still can since he's alive and knows Dexter killed his dad.

It was an interesting bookend at least. He talked to Nick to 'forgive' him but Nick showed no remorse and so he lost control. He went to Nebraska to kill Jonah, but he showed remorse and Dexter regained control and told him to forgive himself.

I don't think that arc is necessarily done, but I think it served it's purpose. There's no way the pen, murder, witnesses, disappearance go without notice. I'm starting to feel like the show's getting a little too broad though. Masuka+Interns, Interns+Video Games, Deb v Laguarda, Deb and Quinn, Intern and Babysitter, Doakes 2.0.
Also, a popular theory I'll spoiler for those who don't want a potential spoiler:
[SHOW]
Thoughts on Gellar as Travis' 'Harry'? Even the 'whore victim' never actually said she heard Gellar's voice. No one, besides Travis, has ever interacted with Gellar. The Gellar we see wouldn't have been banging TA's. What about when they're praying and Gellar's head starts bleeding?

If this is the case, I hope they do something cool like they did in season 1. I had Rudy pegged as the ITK nearly right away, but the brother thing still blindsided me.

I liked last season more than any since the first, but when Deb didn't find out I was done. It's been teased for too long, and in the context of the show she's a good cop who should know better by know. Plus it would be more interesting if she was complicit, and got to find out the truth about her Dad. I've also always wanted them to broach more directly idea that their Dad is more or less responsible for what Dexter is.

But he's not. Do you mean, responsible for being a murderer? Watching your mom chainsawed will do that.
Or do you mean for being a killer w/ a code? I think they've all ready nailed home Harry did the best he could w/ Dex.

Harry holds a good bit of responsibility for the Mom/Chainsaw incident.

The whole story is weak, really. I'll go out on a limb and say that a baby witnessing a murder will not scar them for life. No way that is at all comprehensible to an infant. But let's just accept that part, it's the conceit of the show.

If your son kills a dog as a teenager or whatever age it was, you get them to a shrink. You don't say "let's harness this for the good of mankind by making you a serial killer." I guess you can say that's the premise of the show too, but I think it would be interesting to explore whether it's his Dad who's truly responsible.

The show's on fire right now.
