The lines are always too long and it's not worth the wait and cost, which is rather like everything in Chicago.
How can you know it's not worth it unless you try?

Because they rely on reputation and eclectic atmosphere to sell their food. No one will ever know if their food is actually any good because they've waited so long to get in due to the crowds that by the time they get in, cognitive dissonance sets in and the food, atmosphere and drink tastes and feels so much better than it actually is.Michael wrote:How can you know it's not worth it unless you try?
That's not really a good example of cognitive dissonance. And I would wager that the majority of people are harder to impress the longer they have to wait for a meal.Cronos wrote:Because they rely on reputation and eclectic atmosphere to sell their food. Don't you think your attitude is (dis)coloring pretty much every experience you (don't) have?Cronos wrote:Because they rely on reputation and eclectic atmosphere to sell their food. After viewing that depressing burger on the Pujols 5 website it makes me wonder if I should give a damn what you St. Louis folks think.
For the record Planet is trolling me on Facebook as well.
I wish you lived close so I could leave you a few furry presents on your front porch.planet pujolsian wrote:

Well, you're trolling me over my cats and now Fat Bulldog is trolling me about my Facebook post asking which store is better for making crafts, Michael's, Hobby Lobby or Garden Ridge.Michael wrote:I really want to try Five brothers but I haven't had the opportunity.
Right now the mods are teasing me over the food I eat. I guess it doesn't matter that I eat taco bell at least once a week and I enjoy 7-11 sandwiches with a big gulp and generic chips. I'm ready to ban 'em all.
I won't tell anybody here...
Side note: CVS is having a sale on metamucil and centrum.
