I do have to wonder what Albert will say in his press conference.

Their new TV deal apparently. Their cut reportedly went from 50M to 150M.vinsanity wrote:Da [expletive]? How'd they get all this money?danh35 wrote:MLB Network is reporting the Angels are signing CJ Wilson too.

If he says anything other than it was the best offer I don't want to hear it.ThatGuy wrote:I do have to wonder what Albert will say in his press conference.

An Angels rotation with Weaver, Haren, Santana and Wilson will be pretty damn good.

Re: Pujols Signs With Angels
I was prepared for this. The way it kept dragging on, I thought he would leave. If he had wanted to stay, he would have signed long ago.
The Cardinals won 15 pennants and 9 World Series before Albert, and will win more without him.
The other thing, I would really keep an eye on Albert's health now. Before landing this contract, he needed to stay healthy to keep his value high. If he had missed a lot of time (or had that elbow surgery), it could have cost him millions. He has a lot less incentive to play through injuries and stay healthy now that he has the big guaranteed contract.

Oh, we'd do the same if something similar happened to their team. I can't blame them.Cronos wrote:NSBB's pretty amusing right now.

I mean, I'm heartbroken that Albert won't be here, but if I seriously think about it for more than a second, there's no way I'd be happy with the Cardinals for making a deal worth that much money. No freaking way.
