But I am still mad at him.

The Cards are my team, I would have taken the 10 yr $225 mil deal to stay in St. Louis, because I am loyal to the club, he took more money, so I am mad at him.

Is it rational, hell no, but neither is paying someone $26 million a year to hit a baseball really hard, and really far.
That's a ridiculous statement. You have no idea what that feels like.

So does the WS take away some of the sting of this for you or does this news somehow/somewhat overshadow the WS for you?

That is why I wrote the little part about being rational. Please read the entire post before slamming me.

Thanks.

I'm sure it does. Had he only left us with one ring it wouldn't feel the same.

But it's strange, whatever joy I have right now over us being champs is overshadowed by a hope he never wins a ring in LA.

No one can ever take the championship away so those always trump any individual player...Losing AP does make me a sad clown today though.

I think it does. If I was to choose between winning a WS this year or having Pujols for his entire career without a WS, I would pick the WS. The good of the franchise is better than just one player, no matter how good he is.

You know when you was a teenager and you was about to get dumped by that girl out of your league you always said it didn't matter and then when it happened you wanted to throw up? Yeah that is me...I kept telling myself I wouldn't care, but I do.

I'd definitely be upset right now if not for 2006 and 2011, that's for sure. At least he helped us get to baseball nirvana not once but twice in his time here.
