Agreed 100%. Again people don't need to stamp their feet and throw a temper tantrum over it. The guy played for St Louis because they drafted him. All of these ties were based on a 1 in 30 chance that the Cards drafted him. He gave us a toooon of amazing experiences from winning 2 world series, to walk off homeruns, to historic numbers. Him leaving doesnt change how great he made us feel then. Sure looking back on it the memory might be a little different, but in those moments him leaving now changes nothing. To every player outside of high school their jersey is just laundry. They have no "connection" with their team like their fans do because their fans rooted for people that wore that jersey before and that will wear that jersey after.

Leave that number off limits for 15 years or so and then retire it. For all he did the past 10-11 years he deserves it.

Never would have thought during those classic NLCS matchups with Houston that one day Berkman would be our guy, and Pujols would be in the AL...and still facing the Astros on a regular basis.

Just checking in. Making sure no one's doing anything rash.

Please stay away from high ledges, guys & gals.

Peace.

Oh, Kendry is going to be non-tendered.

Only 70 or so days until Pitchers and Catchers report!

Enjoy the rest of the offseason.

It's o.k., Jake, because this saves me from eating at his restaurant.

He can have it when they put him in the HoF. The dude just blew us off, why should we be building a shrine to him? You're right, we had no connection with him. This is just where he ended up. He made that obvious. It's just business. If he wanted to build that connection to the city the way Musial did, then yea, the number should be off limits, but this is business. Don't felate the guy.

Don't worry, we are fine. We are still world champions, and other then one game the guy who just bailed on us didn't do [expletive] most of the playoffs. We'll be fine. We were great before AP we will be great after AP.

k thnk, bye.

If it happens on the West Coast, ESPN will rarely acknowledge it. Therefore, will it have ever really occurred?

:P
They acknowledged Bonds, and he was playing on the West Coast. :)
Heh, they didn't just acknowledge Bonds, they stalked Bonds .
