I'm upset at the Angels for luring Albert away with a contract that's in all likelihood going to be pretty bad in five years.

I thought all year he had that look like the dog that just took a [expletive] behind the couch. Never really liked him that much. At least not as much as I should have.

Thinking back, I remember thinking to myself when they signed Matt that they probably figured they had no shot at Pujols.

Not surprised, just disappointed. I think every Card fan wanted to see him finish up in STL and become our generations Stan Musial, just that economics and perhaps ego and pride got in the way. I'm sad obviously, but I'm also glad the Cards didn't pony that kind of green for Albert. Oh and as far as the number and statue? No [expletive] way.
