That sounds a lot like her. And if it is, did she just say something about a kid "coming down" with Down Syndrome? I don't know if that's a terrible pun, or if she doesn't understand DS is a genetic mutation.
I don't think it sounds like her at all.

Also, Kevin Slaten is an ass but he's also hilarious if you're in the right mood. What hospital?

Deidre's voice is very nasal, which is a vocal attribute heavily suppressed with low quality audio compression, so much as two people could sound almost nothing alike outside of inflections and pacing. On the sound, I think its within the range of doubt that it could be her if she called in from a cell phone, but she says too many strange, uninformed things to be Deidre Pujols.

What he did was logical from a business sense, but for the emotional investment we fans put into the game, it is 100% viewable as a middle finger. I can't blame him, but if we're not allowed to feel emotions with the movement in the game, then what the hell is the purpose in being a fan?
Uh, you mean you aren't here to calculate, track and debate the relative value of various advanced metrics?
It is 100% about the numbers, emotion can not be quantified.

Retired TLR is awesome. I agree with everything he said.

he said most of that on mike and mike right after the signing, except this: "I think he made a mistake when he said it wasn't about the money," La Russa said

this will sound dumb, but that moment they announced he was signing with the angels--i had to sit down and i felt numb and i felt like the tv went underwater, a little. i kept thinking it can't be final. it was so surreal that a millionaire's decision could affect my sensory perceptions.

Yeah. It's why I don't come down as hard on Albert as some others have. I do think he's conflicted about the decision. Post-signing "not about the money" comments created a backlash but I don't think he ever wanted to leave.

To look at Moz and Dewitt you don't see two guys who scream "enthusiasm" either. That said, no amount of cheerleading was going to beat the Angels' offer.

IMADreamer wrote:No you don't get it, he was great for us and left for more money and we HAVE to respect that. You can't feel any human emotion and you have to wish Albert the best. Since this is St. Louis when he comes back you need to roll out the red carpet and give him a standing ovation. Don't ever question a former Cardinal player or dislike him for his actions. It's just not the Cardinal fan way.

In all seriousness though I'm pretty tired of people telling others how they should feel about this. If people feel Albert gave them the middle finger, if they want to hate Albert, burn jerseys, or boo him then that's their right. Some people invest a lot of time and money into being a Cardinal fan. Families save for a whole year so they can go to St. Louis once and watch the team and sometimes fans and especially kids invest a lot of emotion into it. As some of you know I make tombstones for a living and atleast a half dozen times a year I put a St. Louis Cardinal logo on a tombstone for someone. Think about that, they love the Cardinals so much that they want the logo forever on their tombstone. That's a huge emotional investment into the team. I guess if the people of this board don't see that and understand it then I don't understand why they are here or why they even like the team.
What a post! I think that's why I want to be a lifetime Cardinals fan! =D>

I am really moved by your great post, man! :thumb:
