Re: Pujols..ha
That was a good article from Bernie... "He ripped the Miami Marlins for ... something." I don't really get that part myself. I think that he's caught in between in that article between being focused on what his future with the Angels will be like and what his legacy in StL is. I can see that kind of balance leading him to say things like "I don't care if they give another player #5. Or "Tony can just bring me my ring". I think it's easy for us sitting here to take those statements as slights or attacks against the Cards. I don't think they're intended that way. I think he's just trying to separate himself from the Cards, give the Cards the freedom to do whatever they want to do, and really focus on the fact that he's an Angel.
He's just not good at walking that line and the things he says end up coming out badly.

It'll be interesting to see how things sour one day in Anaheim one day when Angels fans inevitably start booing him. I see it happening in about 6-7 years when they realize he's making $30 million, hitting .265 with 20 homers and 80 rbi's in September. He won't have his monster talent to drive his rage. Could get real ugly real quick.

Really - Pujols should be buying as many hookers (or whatever) as David Freese/Berkman/Craig/Descalso/Jay can handle.
In game 6 Pujols was about to end his Cardinal career as a WS goat - when he grounded out to end the 7th, after the game 5 fiasco. That was going to be it for him. Still a historic Cardinal, but the memory we'd have would include a big taint on his legacy. It also would have been a free agent contract-deflating end.

My favorite quote:
"I'm kind of disappointed how people work in the business," Pujols says. "Sometimes when they don't accomplish what they want, they throw the player under the bus or their agent under the bus.
Kinda like throwing a fan base and organization under the bus as a player, Albert? Hope you hit about .220 this year and the Angels don't even sniff the playoffs and the Cards celebrate #12
Honestly, I was fine with him leaving for the amt. of $ they gave him and had no hard feelings, but the way he's still sprouting off, really starting to dislike the guy
I believe your taking it out of context. He was referring to the Marlins.

I have to go to a sedar tomorrow at 4 pdt and then I could go to the Angels game. It is a cliff notes version.
