There's no joy for me in this. I loved watching him hit for 11 years, loved the way he approached the game for the Cardinals. There was no weakness in his game whatsoever. As long as he didn't wind up with the Cubs, there was virtually no way I wasn't going to continue being a fan of Pujols.

I doubt many people here or anywhere wish him bad luck. But when you make that much money and are as vocal as he has been, it's bound to stir up some resentment. He should have taken the high road after his signing.

Maybe it's selfish of me, but I'd like to see him start hitting again so I can tell my kids I saw the greatest right-handed hitter of all time, not the rich man's Mo Vaughn.
