Avengers was great. I would see it again. I really enjoyed watching it and I'm not a comics guy. If this cast is the Dream Team, Robert Downey Jr is Michael Jordan though. That dude can deliver a great sarcastic line and look comfortable in front of a green screen doing it better than anyone. The Iron Man-Hulk relationship was fun, the Iron Man-Captain America relationship was fun and it was just a really entertaining how Joss Whedon gave every character a chance to shine and do what their character does best without exposing their weaknesses.
Robert Downey Jr. playing Tony Stark is simply amazing. For me, possibly the most *entertaining* actor playing a character I've seen.

theres a reason RDJ gets top billing, i'd think. plus, i mean...RDJ looks like tony stark, acts like him (and it doesn't always seem like hes acting)...its a perfect match. and i'd say the iron man movies are what made this possible

i loved when hulk was "chasing" after the black widow on the ship, then the hulk/thor fight, when thor is waiting for his hammer to fly back and then does a 180 and smacks hulk with it...then hulk not being able to lift hte hammer...

i loved how they showed cap'ns shield being able to sustain the power of the hammer...just a lot of little things from the comics/history/lore that i appreciated

then i loved how capn was giving out the orders in the final battle (makes sense), and the "and hulk...smash!"...just a [expletive] fun movie...id like to see it again

Yeah, don't skip Avengers because of Hulk and Loki. They were my two favorite parts. Loki gets lots of screen time, and Hiddleston was pretty freakin awesome as a mostly-insane, self-important demigod. He came off as kinda wimpy in Thor, but definitely ramps up the awesome several levels for this one.

They take a new look at Hulk - much of the effect is through the other characters, who definitely respect the guy for the first half of the movie, while still being more than a little freaked out by him. Ruffalo has garnished such a positive response that he's signed for 6 - six - more Marvel flicks.

Getting ready to go see Avengers, it's hard to imagine it can live up to the hype but I'm still pumped

I loved The Avengers. Super fun.

One thing I would have changed:

I would have cut into Black Widow's too much screen time to explain better how Hulk figures his [expletive] out.

The look on Black Widow's face when she has to deal with Hulk (multiple times throughout the movie, actually) is so great. Alien hordes, demigods, nuclear bombs...phtt. But a rampaging Hulk? She's peeing her pants.

Godard is filming in 3d and I feel like this is some kind of line that has been crossed.

I felt bad sitting next to my wife ogling Scarlet. Then I realized she was ogling Chris Evans.

and Chris Hemsworth.

and Robert Downy Jr.

So then I felt cheated that there was only one hot chick. I asked for a refund, but they only gave me a quarter of it back.
