Well, it was bad but not really that special kind of bad that I can get enjoyment out of eviscerating. I was pretty much just bored for most of the first 90 minutes, and then it became a standard stupid comic book action movie at the end. There was plenty that was ridiculous about it, but over-dramatizing a meaningless death or trying to put some significance behind heroes saving a dozen folks trapped in a bus or a building while hundreds of aliens are swarming around the city at 300 MPH indiscriminately shooting everyone they see is hokey and stupid, but expected.

Watched "In and Out" on cable. It's amazing how much social mores have changed in 15 years. It was weird to watch that movie and see the whole town freak out when Kevin Kline is outed, and downright bizarre to see him get fired because he's gay.

"X-Men First Class" is on TV right now. January Jones isn't much of an actress but she sure looks good in her underwear.

It's probably always pretty scary for you to see movies, because maybe someday--doubtful as it may be--maybe another movie will sully Rushmore by being acceptable, which as I gather stands alone in that respect.

I've posted a lot of very positive reviews in this thread and have defended several movies that I think are underrated. I'm not going to go easy on a stupid action movie because young male audiences like stupid action movies.

Not sure what you expected from a comic book movie based on the avengers directed by joss whedon. Especially since you were clearly hoping to rip it. But you are smarter than everyone else so I'm glad you wasted your money.

I'll hand in my straight card if I have to, but I was thrilled to learn the new Hathaway/Jackman/Crowe Les Mis is the musical, even though I wasn't crazy about Hathaway's voice in the preview. I love that musical.

i would never bother to try to convince you to like a movie or anything for that matter but i think its [expletive] stupid to go to a movie you are actively wanting to hate. its like complaining that schindlers lists talked too much about WW2 or that 1+1=2. its pretty clear what type of movie it is. yes i liked it. no, i dont think its the greatest movie ever...but nice try with the passive aggressive bs
