I'm excited. Hope he doesn't get rocked. But, he and Miller are good buddies. PRobably a nice wake up call to not be top dog even amongst his friends. Had he not been sucking, even if he had just been decent, you know this would have been Shelby.

On top of that, it's not as if he's Brad Thompson reincarnated here. He's got a low-mid 90s fastball with a slider iirc that's a decent pitch and a curve ball. He may not be Felix Hernandez, but he's got a repertoire that may just play.

I actually think he's a solid prospect, just his first appearance against a decent hitting AL team doesn't sound all that promising. But I hope the kid does well.

Plus, I know this doesn't fly on this board all that well, but having Molina calling pitches for him might be a nice relief. Just get out there, let Molina call the game, you just sit back and let it fly. And the pitching corps in general seems to be a pretty tight knit group of guys that learn from one another. I'm sure, regardless of the outcome, he'll learn a thing or two that hopefully he can translate to on field succes..

I want a Anthony Reyes against the Indians performance (except we score atleast 2 runs this time), just to see the Cubs fans reaction. They get so personally offended when players on the Cardinals do well, it adds so much entertainment to my life.

Oof. Bad news, but I was expecting something bad.

I guess he's now Jaime Shouldergrabbin' Garcia. Good luck to him.
