I would venture a bet that the level of arrogance of the US >>>>>> than any other team.
So, commensurate with our country's level of arrogance vs the world in general.
You're right. [expletive] America.
If arrogance is a personal quality that makes you resent a person, you can't also like professional sports.
At times like this, it's very easy not to. Image

That's even worse when you see it all laid out like that. God dammit.

I like Nic Batum and $5 mil in cap. But I like $16 mil in cap a whole lot more. Batum had ample chance to step his [expletive] up and earn a contract like this last year, and he failed to do so. We're paying him like he did, though.

I can't believe Portland didn't go for that sign and trade. They could have tied up a lot of Minnesota's cap on a mediocre player and gotten some picks in return. I guess they could always revisit it down the road, but the TWolves seem pretty anxious to overpay somebody as soon as possible.

I have never been a Laker fan but I think Antawn Jamison still has a pulse and was a good deal for the veterans minimum.

I like what I'm hearing about the Cavs being able to get Bynum in this Dwight to LA deal, especially that Bynum is amenable to staying in Cleveland long term. Irving and Bynum is a pretty great 1-2 punch, and if they hit on Waiters(or Thompson) then they could climb the ranks in the East pretty quickly.

I heard that they were involved, but how is it going to work without Bynum going to Orlando?

According to Bucher, the big pieces involved are Howard to LA, Bynum to Cleveland, and Varejao and Cleveland picks to Orlando. Why exactly Orlando wants Varejao I'm not sure, but I'm not a capologist.

I don't understand the NBA rules at all. Can someone explain how the salary cap works, what is a sign and trade, restricted FA, etc.. I can't even follow the off season because I don't even speak the language.
