Holy [expletive]. That is insane. Did you read the entire article about the events it's based on. Absolutely crazy.Vidor wrote:This movie...well, I'm not actually going to see it, but it certainly sounds intriguing. "Compliance", based on the true story of a McDonald's manager who showed some very poor decision-making ability after getting a crank call.

I did, actually, after reading about the movie. "Insane" is the right word. Louise Ogden settled with McDonald's for $1.1 million.G. Keenan wrote:Holy [expletive]. That is insane. I saw #2 on Friday night, and had a blast. I agree #1 was awful - but despite the fact that Stallone failed pretty badly at the script, it still made $260MM+ on a $70MM budget. I'm glad they tried for a sequel, because in my opinion the sequel delivered where the first failed.cpebbles wrote:That's really my point though. If you want to make a movie where a John Rambo clone, a John McClaine clone, and Arnold Schwarzenegger kick the [expletive] out of all the lesser stars of 80s action movies, make that movie. It would almost certainly be fun, and could be hilarious. When Terry Crews ends up as your co-star in that movie, you have [expletive] up somewhere along the line, and a [expletive] on that scale is not deserving of a sequel.
