Justin Smith is about the only reason I still care. Hope he gets a ring this year and prevents Ray Lewis from getting another one.

I don't think the helmet to helmet rule applies to running backs. As absurd as that is.cardsfansince82 wrote:For all the talk about making the game safer and all of the ticky tack flags that have been thrown this year, to not throw a flag on a textbook helmet to helmet tackle that knocks the guy out cold (by Bernard Pollard of all people) is kind of ridiculous. That was the biggest play of the game.
I guess I would rather see the Niners win but I don't feel that strongly about it.
Edit: poor phrasing on my part. It doesn't apply to any runner who is out of the pocket, not sliding and not defenseless.

I wonder what his accomplices think of this? I wish I was an uber rich guy who could enjoy the embrace of a killer.

definitely MU guys only reason i "want" san fran to win. copernicus can be fun to watch. flacco too.
and im in the same boat with those that can't understand why ray lewis deserves to be praised in his final games.

Re: NFL 2012 season thread
I'm getting over my angst of the Ray Lewis mediapalooza. It is just not his team anymore. The superbowl should be a bruiser, and I'm looking forward to it.
I'm noticing that the big physical receivers are more important than ever at the postseason level - Since Bellechik style D has all but eliminated the finesse reciever from the postseason equation. Both these teams have good ones. Then you have Ray Rice. Frank Gore. Comparable defenses that are good and play dirty. Kapernick is still the x factor - when will his bubble burst?

Rams "hire" then publicly clarify that they're not going to hire Rob Ryan.
