Barry Alvarez told Gary Anderson it is impossible to recruit speed at Wisconsin so stick to power running, so Anderson filled recruiting holes with fast players, a 4.3-4.4 cornerback from Massachusetts and a fast juco safety from Fresno as well as the juco qb who runs well. Anderson said they may add read option plays to the offense.

That Vanderbilt game shocked me. Not that Vandy won, really. But that they were obviously the much better team and blew Tennessee off the field. Dooley obv. was a bad hire--this Butch Jones guy has a pretty good track record.

Would it be stereotyping to say the upper midwest produces great lineman - but is lean on overall speed.

I don't understand how he still has a job. Has he done anything successfully in his career?

Other than selling himself to Al Davis, Pat Haden, and whoever the UT athletic director was at the time?

Not really.

Arkansas got a qb to decommit from Ga Tech but highly ranked running back Alex Collins who verbaled to Ark is stalling about signing.

Oh yes, Kiffin and Dooley in a row. Yes, it is possible to run a storied program straight into the ground. Of course Tennessee fans only have to cast back a few years to when Alabama was terrible and Tennessee pounded them every year to remember how things can change.

How about Auburn, huh? Speaking of things changing, that was a hell of a slide from 2010 to 2012.

I had to google to find out who the [expletive] coaches Ole Miss now and Hugh Freeze's Wikipedia page currently says "Coach Freeze put together a historic 2013 recruiting class with the help of key boosters delivering bags and bags of cash to top level recruits."
