I'm sure this will end well.
The police station at Northern Illinois University was locked down on Wednesday morning as special agents from the FBI and state police served a search warrant there.

I swear, you can't make this [expletive] up. So let me get this straight, they are replacing one corrupt politician, with another corrupt politician?
William Beavers' likely replacement faced ethics charge

The leading contender to replace convicted former Cook County Commissioner William Beavers once was sanctioned for allegedly campaigning on the taxpayers' dime, records reveal.

Stanley Moore, a former deputy director for the Illinois Department of Transportation, acknowledged he was "let go" from his $86,388-a-year job in April 2009, less than a month before the launch of a state ethics probe into his conduct.

Last month a jury found Beavers, who also served many years as a Chicago alderman, guilty of taking campaign and county expense money for personal use without paying taxes.
