i've always wondered what critics wrote when they were truly pissed they went somewhere and that review of brazikat is apparently the answer.

Do the gourmet burgers at Red Robin count as fine dining?

No kidding. Well I'm looking a lot less forward to dinner tonight.

Dude, whatever. Just because a food critic didn't like it doesn't mean you can't. I'd be more worried about the entrees alone costing $80-$120 depending on if you get the seafood than what some guy thought of the way the meat was cut or the mesquite flavor. Hope you have a good time and enjoy!

It has gotten terrible reviews in the RFT and STLtoday.
Holy crap was that a brutal review @ stltoday
ha. I love reading a good brutal review.
my favorite part
Brazikat’s wine list also is rather shallow for such a meat temple. And its options offer little value, even at the high end of the list, where markups tend to be most reasonable. Brazikat’s top bottle, 2009 A. Rafanelli California cabernet sauvignon, goes for $112 at the restaurant, almost two times its retail price.

There is, however, an entire mini-fridge stocked with Red Bull, ready to be mixed with the bar’s three shelves of vodka.
Don't worry Cronos, you've steeled yourself for the worst.

That's not a high markup.

RFT's review was equally brutal.

That brazillian place that closed in Chesterfield a few years ago was terrible as well.

Nope. I mean, the more expensive something is, the less of a margin you get, but 30% is an average food/wine cost. Wine is less, maybe 2-2.5X. What most people don't realize is that liquor costs about the same at Shop n Save as it does from the distributor. Maybe a buck or two less. The real money is in selling $18 Jack Daniels for $6/pour or whatever.

Agreed. There isn't anything anyone could say about Red Lobster that would change my mind.
