His immediate firing letter should say - "No severance. You don't hear fired workers in India, Brasil, and China complaining about not getting severance - do you?"

I'm having a hard time believing that people actually say that.wart57 wrote:

Yes, it was posted on his company intranet blog. I keep checking the corporate directory to see if he's still here.docellis wrote:Somebody checked snopes first, right? That was real?

I re-read your post after I said that, I'm sure you don't need to be snope checked. What a weird company culture.Radbird wrote:Yes, it was posted on his company intranet blog. Re: Corporate Speak
It's gone from the company I joined in the mid-80s that espoused respect for the individual, provided free health benefits and a pension along with a full employment policy (i.e. no layoffs or "resource actions" as they are called today) to crap like this.
I used to love working here. Now I just count the days to retirement - definitely don't plan to "pretty much work until my death". If I were 10 years younger, I'd be out of here.

Re: Corporate Speak
This does not surprise me at all. I have head bosses say similar things in meetings, we maybe not the India and China thing, but we are always being to told to work "harder" on something. I prefer to work smarter.Radbird wrote:Yes, it was posted on his company intranet blog.
