Really? If I put "human rain delay" into Google, the two names it comes up with are Mike Hargrove and Steve Trachsel. Why not use Trachsel as an example? Trachsel figures in one of the biggest moments in Cardinal history: he gave up Mark McGwire's 62nd home run in 1998.redbirdjazzz wrote:Anybody who takes that long between pitches deserves it.Mary1966 wrote:http://www.stltoday.com/sports/columns/ ... acb9a.html
Nice gratuitous dig at Erik.Joe Strauss wrote:Baseball would be diminished without great arguments. It is entirely appropriate, even necessary, for a timeless game to promote inscrutable questions. What else to do during the pauses between Erik Bedard offerings?

Nobody has to google Bedard to know he takes too long. People don't remember Trachsel being slow...or even know who Hargrove is.

Hargrove and Trachsel have been retired for 28 and 5 years, respectively, putting them pretty far out of the general public's awareness, as AW has pointed out. I think you're taking this wrong, Mary; the fact that they take a shot at Bedard mean they think he's still at least somewhat relevant.

Not Mariners fans. His obit will make the news in Seattle and the first line will talk about the "worst trade in Mariners history."JackofDiamonds wrote:Probably quickly.Mary1966 wrote:LOL.
