Rant: No Caffeine
I'm trying to cut down on caffeine, and 24 hours in I feel like I'm bleeding from my [expletive] eyeballs. Worst headache of my life. There's a decent chance I will stab someone in the next couple days.

Re: Rant: No Caffeine
I'd taper the amount down gradually. How much caffeine (including coffee, tea, soft drinks, energy drinks) were you ingesting each day? If several cups or drinks, I'd just cut it down to a cup of coffee in the morning, maybe something in the afternoon, then cut to one a day, then switch to tea, and gradually lessen the amount.

So far, but I don't think I can last.Freed Roger wrote:Are you going cold turkey?
I don't drink coffee at all, just soda and tea. I'm thinking about getting some tea right now.

Quick - switch to coffee before it's too late.

I stopped drinking soda about a month ago (still drink it a couple times a week, just not everyday) and I haven't felt much of a difference. I still struggle falling asleep when I'm not exhausted. I guess I'm healthier, though.

Doesn't coffee reverse any affects of alcohol on the liver or something like that?
Edit: Yes. Yes it does.

Drinking as little as one cup of coffee a day could help protect you from liver disease caused by alcohol, according to research published today.
People who drink one cup of coffee are 20% less likely to have alcoholic cirrhosis than those who abstain from doing so.
And the protective effect increases with the more coffee you drink: People who drink two or three cups a day are 40% less likely to contract cirrhosis, while those who drink four or more cups are 80% less likely to suffer the disease.

I have to drink a ton of coffee to wake up in the morning. I think all the beer I drink at night makes me groggy in the morning.

This is good news.

I hate coffee. I wish I didn't, it would be so much better for me than Mt. Dew.
