I love, love, love, the Clydesdale commercials. Doesn't keep me from buying Schlafly beer though

They are firing on all cylinders there - lab puppy, farm MILF, sappy Brett Dennen tune, Clydesdales, - and a wholesome perfect world that doesn't exist. - but doubt it's usefulness for increasing Bud market share.cardsfansince82 wrote:Budweiser has completely mastered playing on people's emotions with stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with their product.go birds wrote:ugggggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

And what the hell? - first Purina appropriates the Galoot icon for their signage - and now Bud uses the Galoot super-pup icon.
Somewhere I'm gonna have to draw the line.

A sequel - cue to next winter
- the cute lady is sitting by the fire in their perfect home in Utopia County. She looks obviously knocked up, and it's by Mr Clydesdale - who's letter & picture in military fatigues she is waxing over - yep he's one of the troops off saving Freedom. The yellow lab is next to her-all grown up, and sporting a belly herself. Mrs. Clydesdale makes a face- whoop- she's in labor - and looks outside to see she is snowed in!
But fear not - Wilford Brimley (or Hal Holbrook -whoever they can get) shows up with the Clydesdale hitch. He bundles up cute Mrs. Clydesdale. They look back and see the yellow lab - who gives a telling look that she needs help too -so off they all go, Clydsedales, the milf, Wilford Brimley & the lab over the river and thru the woods to the hospital.
Cue to Mrs. Clydesdale looking refreshed and holding a brand new perfect baby in the hospital and in comes Mr. Clydesdale in his fatigues. Hugs. Then Mr. Clydesdale says he has something to show her - and opens the shades to show Wilford out with the hitch - and a litter of frisky cute lab puppies - and yes, out from behind the hitch stumbles a brand new Clydesdale colt...fade to picture of a bad inbev product.
