great - for me. until baseball season starts.

MLB.tv is great until the postseason, when US accounts are blocked. You can watch it on TV via Xbox, Playstation or Apple TV up to that point, but there are ways around the blocking if you're on a computer.

From what I've read, you can do it on the Xbox/Apple TV during the postseason if you know how to configure your router and you have the right kind.

I will probably cave and get cable unless I can find that one thread in baseball talk that taught me how to get it on my tv in a nefarious way.

I love it. When I had cable, I would always have quality stuff on the DVR or to watch On Demand, but as soon as I would turn the TV on I would get distracted by [expletive] like Pawn Stars or Cupcake Wars or some other [expletive] bull [expletive] worthless horse [expletive]. Now, I focus on the stuff I really want to watch, even if my viewing may be delayed slightly (although, as mentioned, with the added benefit of being able to binge watch). If there's a show I'm REALLY into, I can buy it on Amazon as soon as it airs, and I'm still paying a fraction of what I used to for cable.

The only downside, as Doc mentioned, is baseball season. I visit my parents enough that I still get to see plenty of games though, and I never miss a playoff game.

My mom and dad generously took my wife and I on an all expense paid Caribbean cruise to escape the weather. The weather was perfect and we had an upgraded balcony room.

Hated it. Cruises are not my thing. At all.

I've never desired to be held captive on a cruise ship for vacation. My wife was a little warm to the notion for awhile. The miserable news stories from cruises last few years sealed the deal, she has no interest. Plus some of the most obnoxious people we know LOVE cruises...they are SUCH GREAT DEALS!

Anyway, my kid watched this Disney show for awhile, and my prejudicial hatred of cruises intensified.
