A very large pct of the gainfully employed adults I know smoke or would like to smoke marijuana. Marijuana is still a Schedule 1 drug under the Controlled Substances Act though. Crazy.

Report in the Springfield News-Leader says it was almost a pound.cardsfansince82 wrote:From what I've read it was under 5 grams of weed. WTF? How is that a felony? Do they have him on camera passing a blunt to a kid outside an elementary school?
We're at a point where weed is completely legal in some states, and it's pretty much an open joke that it isn't everywhere else. Even a lot of conservatives can admit it. But every time someone in the public eye gets busted with it you still see all kind of sanctimonious comments. He's not doing anything different than 30 guys on every D-1 team, and tens of millions of responsible adults. Either he has really bad luck about getting caught, or he needs to find better friends to smoke with.

Dorial Green-Beckham suspended indefinitely
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham has been suspended indefinitely for violating team policies.
The decision was made Monday by Coach Gary Pinkel, in consultation with Mike Alden, director of athletics. It is effective immediately, and includes all practices and team activities, but Green-Beckham will still be permitted access to the academic resource center.
"It's unfortunate, but it's the right thing to do for our football program, for the athletic department, and also for Dorial," said Pinkel. "We have high standards related to the expectations that come along with being a Missouri Tiger, and Dorial has not met those recently. Representing Mizzou and our fans is a privilege, and we'll work with him during this process. It's been disappointing to have this, and other issues which have taken place lately. It's frustrating, because we work very hard to instill responsibility and discipline in our young men so that our program represents Mizzou the right way. These actions aren't representative of those expectations, and we are addressing these issues head on."
Mizzou will not comment on which policies Green-Beckham violated.
Over the weekend rumors surfaced that Green-Beckham had been arrested again. NewsChannel 5 contacted the Columbia Police department, but a spokesperson could not confirm or deny that Green-Beckham is the subject of any new investigation.
In October 2012 Green-Beckham was one of three freshman football players arrested for drug possession after they were allegedly caught smoking marijuana on campus near Memorial Stadium. They later pleaded guilty to second-degree trespassing.
On January 10, 2014 a vehicle Green-Beckham was riding in was pulled over for a traffic violation. During the stop the officer found a pound of marijuana inside the vehicle. Green-Beckham and two other men, Patrick Prouty and John McDaniel were taken into custody.
Later that month Prouty admitted to owning the marijuana. Green-Beckham told officers he smelled marijuana when he got into the vehicle but didn't see it or smoke it.
