Cutting the Cable/Satellite Cord

I used the hola unblocker extension for a bunch of local games earlier this season. Then we moved and the first time I tried it with my new ISP it didn't work, but I also didn't put any effort into troubleshooting.

I use Unblock-Us and I can confirm that it works.

The day that it doesn't work is the day that I stop paying for MLB.tv.

So.....did you know that if you are watching youtube on chromecast through your computer and shut youtube on your computer, chromecast will continue playing it? Crazy.

Also this begs the question, how do you turn it off without just ripping chromecast out of the TV?

Does anyone know if the lag is from the smart TV? Does anyone have a TV setup that doesn't lag?

I guess you can parse the words as you like, but the point is getting rid of comcast/att, spending less money and losing nothing.

Does anyone whose cut the cord not have unlimited downloads? We're considering cutting the cord when we move but well be out in the country and Internet options are limited.

So Chromecast....They advertise that it only costs $35 but I'm wondering if there are any subscription fees.

They also advertise that you can get ABC and ESPN on it, but I'm wondering about blackout restrictions on those channels, and others.
