It is, but Leopold gets a chance to get actual playing time and a chance to continue his career. Meanwhile Columbus gets a steady albeit unspectacular D-man. Good trade all around.

There are signs in the last two games that the Backes-Berglund-Oshie line is becoming a second line that is a consistent scoring threat.

then if they could find a wing for the stastny and steen line, we would be looking reallllly good

Agreed. Classy move by the Blues while also saving money. Best of luck to Leopold, who seemed to be the odd man out here.

Yeah, Lindstrom has been the anti-Lehtera. Maybe they could put David Perron with those two...

Lou Korac says Brodeur will sign with the Blues and will play either against Nashville or the Islanders.
