It is, but Leopold gets a chance to get actual playing time and a chance to continue his career. Meanwhile Columbus gets a steady albeit unspectacular D-man. Good trade all around.mikechamp wrote:Sounds like a salary dump.MrCrowesGarden wrote:Blues open up about a million dollars in cap space by trading Leopold to Columbus for a 5th in 2016.

There are signs in the last two games that the Backes-Berglund-Oshie line is becoming a second line that is a consistent scoring threat.

Agreed. Classy move by the Blues while also saving money. Best of luck to Leopold, who seemed to be the odd man out here.MrCrowesGarden wrote:It is, but Leopold gets a chance to get actual playing time and a chance to continue his career. Yeah, Lindstrom has been the anti-Lehtera. Maybe they could put David Perron with those two...Secret Weapon wrote:then if they could find a wing for the stastny and steen line, we would be looking reallllly goodsighyoung wrote:There are signs in the last two games that the Backes-Berglund-Oshie line is becoming a second line that is a consistent scoring threat.

Nifty move by Tank to score the OT winner last night.
Also nice to see Oshie pick up 3 points.

Lou Korac says Brodeur will sign with the Blues and will play either against Nashville or the Islanders.
