What exactly makes something "handmade" anyway? Should I also sue virtually every cheap beer manufacturer who puts "Premium" on their label?
Is this really the "best" "premium" beer that Milwuakee produces? I JUST PAID $2,300 FOR A 12 PACK OF THE BEST!!!!

Right. As long as it's distilled there is no gluten.

Re: Rant/Rave: Bourbon
I wish they would stop putting Gluten free labels on things that are naturally gluten free. All I know about gluten is it makes some food taste good and I want it. If a food has never had gluten and I like it, don't start telling me it's gluten free because then I'm liable not to buy it.

I know/hope you're somewhat joking here, but the GF label is helpful because even something that contains no gluten naturally can still be contaminated during processing if done on shared equipment. So I'm good with you not buying something because of that label if it means my kid can be assured that she won't end up puking and crapping for 3 days.

I am not joking in the least. I routinely do not buy things because I don't know if GF means it's now GF, or GF as in it's always been GF. If they said something like "Naturally Gluten Free", or "Always Gluten Free", then that message would alert your kid that she can eat it and would tell me that it's not going to taste any different than it did before people worried about gluten.Radbird wrote:I know you're somewhat joking here, but the GF label is helpful because even something that contains no gluten naturally can still be contaminated during processing if done on shared equipment. Win win.

I'd say I'm sorry you feel inconvenienced but that would be a lie.

It's their lost sales. Seems like a smart business thing to do to advertise in some way they haven't changed the formula. The whiskey example - I didn't know that such and such was always gluten free. If I went to buy a bottle and all it said was Gluten free, I'd pick another bottle. I would think maybe something changed in it, and my experience with gluten based foods that are made gluten free is they are fine other than the taste and texture. If my favorite had a new label that said "Naturally gluten free", I'd assume that meant they were just providing more info for people that need it and it's the same thing.Radbird wrote:I'd say I'm sorry you feel inconvenienced but that would be a lie.
And to make sure people don't get sick they should have a label on all foods. Honestly I don't know much about this stuff but I don't want people to get sick of course. To show how little we know my daughter in law went gluten free and the first time we had her over for dinner we made pasta. Seriously. My wife and I thought pasta must be gluten free. Left the meat out because hell that surely has that stuff in it. She didn't eat that day.

Screw 98% of doucher people talking about Gluten allergies. You know how many times I heard a customer ask for no breading due to a gluten allergy 10 years ago? Zero. Celiac disease sucks. It exists, and it makes people poop really badly sometimes, and in really rare cases it can can lead to worse stuff. The vast majority of American fuuuuuuuging idiots are just jumping on this absurd bandwagon that they can't eat bread or rye whiskey, but all this frozen sodium-packed, MSG-filled, processed crap they eat all the time is totally okay. But it's not gluten, right?!
Hey Gluten Allergy people - screw you. Go back to 2002, when you were totally fine. Jerks.
Radbird, if your daughter has been diagnosed with Cialac Disease, my apologies. I didn't mean to offend. It's a very difficult situation for our industry.
